| Greetings from the UIAA,
Over the course of the last few years I have had the opportunities to visit many of the federations that are members of the UAAA. These trips have been some of the most interesting and enjoyable experiences of my life. What I have learnt from these visits is that the bond of mountaineering transcends national boundaries and that the greatest thing is the fellowship of the climbing rope.
As a western Canadian, I view the Pacific rim countries, not as a remote part of the world but as our neighbours. Good neighbours work together for the betterment of all ! This is true with the relationship between the UIAA and the UAAA.
Congratulations to UAAA on your 15th anniversary.
I also glad to learn that UAAA is publishing a book with the profiles of all its member associations, the country profiles and related information and details.
